The vast ocean of mountains is liquid as waves, as water.  They will stay on your horizon or below your feet.
A way of describing Minas Gerais State geographic formations is ‘Mar de morros’ (freely translated as “ocean of hills”). The terminology is not accurate, since the geographic elevations are lower than mountains, but higher than hills. However, it makes an interesting word play with  reliefs resembling water movements. I started drawing mountains inspired by my home state, and also by a ceramist that draws mountains in clay bowls: my mom.
